Cheap. Good lenses can be cheap, after all.

Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D review at momentcorp

"The Nikon 50mm f/1.4 is sharper wide open than the AF 50mm f/1.8, it

does show a slight amount of CA wide open though. The f/1.8 shows almost no CA, at f/2 the CA is gone on both lenses. Performance wise the 1.4 is sharper than the f/1.8, until f/4 when both lenses has almost the same performance.

Nikon Zoom Nikkor 24-120mm f/3.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S VR review at momentcorp

"Not a "pro" grade lens, its way to soft for that. This lens is a good lens for the Family type photographer that don't print his images larger then 10x15cm. VR it works, but not a necessity IMO. VR drains battery power not something you would want if you use a D200. I find it rather hard to find something good to say . . . read more

Nikon 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5D ED-IF AF Nikkor review at SLR Gear

"In the film days, a 18-35mm lens counted as a super wide angle zoom. With the 1.5x crop factor of Nikon's "DX" sensor format, the equivalent 27-52.5mm range only amounts to a range from moderately wide to normal focal length. Still, a zoom lens like the Nikon 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5D ED-IF AF likely offers . . . read more

Nikon AF Nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8D ED review at momentcorp

"Despite the Nikon AF 80-200mm f/2.8D ED is a bit old, this is a great lens both mechanically as well as optically. It also has a nice price tag on it compared to the newer breed of Nikkor Pro tele zooms. Pro quality lenses don't need to cost $ 1900 + after all. Peak performance is f/4-f/11, with very usable

Nikon AF-S Nikkor 17-35mm f/2.8D ED-IF review at momentcorp

"The good got better, the Nikon 17-35 AF-S f/2.8D ED-IF is one of the sharpest AF zoom lenses ever built. Nikon certainly did their job well when they upgrade this lens from the AF 20-35mm f/2.8D. This is one of my favorite lenses, and its always in my bag. I`ve always been a sucker for wide angle lenses, the wider the better.

For a working pro this is a must have lens. This lens handles everything you throw at it, good contrast, excellent sharpness, and it  . . . read more

Nikon Zoom Nikkor 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5G ED-IF AF-S review at momentcorp

"A big surprise when it was introduced, featuring ED-IF AF-S in a consumer lens, many thought this was just another plastic unusable lens. This lens actually works allot better then what it costs. Giving you sharp images, and featuring 1 ED element, IF and AF-S, for fast focusing.

This lens is highly recommendable, it is a better lens on a FF camera then a DX camera(awkward zoom range on a DX camera).  . . . read more

Nikon AF Zoom Nikkor 70-300mm f/4-5.6D ED review at momentcorp

Positives
Price. You get allot for your money with this lens.
Weight. At 515 grams this is a lightweight lens that wont destroy your back on hikes etc.(1 kilo lighter then 80-200 AF-S)
Size. Fits into any backpack, and leaves you a lot of room.

Nikon AF Nikkor 24mm f/2.8D review at SLR Gear

"The 24mm ƒ/2.8 was designed to work with film cameras, and is compatible with sub- and full-frame Nikon digital SLR camera bodies. The lens uses a mechanical screw drive to focus, powered by the camera body, so it won't autofocus on entry-level Nikon dSLR cameras (at time of writing, D40, D40x, D60, D3000

Nikon 70-300mm f/4-5.6D ED AF Nikkor review at SLR Gear

"This lens has been in Nikon's lineup for some time now, and it unfortunately shows in its optical performance. It might have been fine in the days of film, with that medium's lower resolution, but the microscopic pixels of modern DSLRs make higher demands. Stopped down a bit at short and medium . . . read more
