Fujifilm to release firmware updates for the X-E1, X-Pro1 cameras and the Fujinon XF 35mm lens tomorrow.

Fujifilm X-Pro1, X-E1 and XF35mm firmware updates available. New firmware versions for the X-Pro1 and X-E1 cameras and the XF35mm lens are now available to download.

Fujifilm X-Pro1 - firmware version: 2.03

Changes:

* Allows compatibility with the new “XF14mmF2.8R” lens.
* Improved performance of Auto Focus under various shooting conditions.

Changes:

* Allows compatibility with the new “XF14mmF2.8R” lens.
* Shutter release button now works when an external remote release is connected.
* Improved performance of Auto Focus under various shooting conditions.
* Audio performance has been optimised for the new Stereo Microphone MIC-ST1 (sold separately).

Updating steps

Updating steps for X-Pro1 and X-E1

1. Copy the file of the updated firmware to the root directory of your SD card.
2. Put the SD card into the camera. Remove the lens and ensure the battery is fully charged.
3. Hold the DISP/BACK button and turn the camera on.
4. Follow the directions in the LCD screen.
5. When the update is completed, turn off the camera.
6. Turn on the camera while holding the DISP/BACK button to check the firmware version.

Updating steps for XF35mm Lens

Note: You need to first update the firmware of your camera to the latest version (X-Pro1 : ver.2.03, X-E1 : ver.1.04) BEFORE you update the firmware of your XF35mm lens.

1. Copy the file of the updated firmware to the root directory of your SD card.
2. Attach the XF35mm lens to the camera.
3. Put the SD card into the camera and ensure the battery is fully charged.
4. Hold the DISP/BACK button and turn the camera on.
5. Follow the directions in the LCD screen.
6. When the update is completed, turn off the camera.
7. Turn on the camera while holding the DISP/BACK button to check the firmware version.
